    #2: Soft Low Twisted Bun

A soft, low twisted bun is a lovely hairstyle for your next event. It’s easy to create. First, blow dry your hair and add mousse to help it hold. Curl your hair in sections about 1 to 2 inches wide. Then, part your hair horizontally just below the back of your head. Twist the lower section into a bun. Take the top section and pin the curls around the bun. Gently pull on some pieces to add volume and texture. Finish with a strong hairspray, such as 25 Hold from Kenra.

#3: Twisted Half-Updo with Long Waves

Make a detailed half-up hairstyle with long, wavy hair. First, curl all your hair using a two-inch curling iron for a soft, pretty look. Then, split your hair into sections and pull the top part into a ponytail. After that, take a small piece of hair from each side of your forehead, twist them, and pin them over the ponytail. This adds texture and shape, making it a great style for any occasion.

    #4: Very Fancy Hairstyle

Want a stylish look? Try this fishtail braid decorated with flowers. Your stylist might recommend hair extensions to make it fuller and thicker. It’s a perfect choice for a spring wedding.

    #5: Cute Curly Updo

A textured hairstyle can look absolutely gorgeous! This lovely curly updo adds fresh style to your blonde hair. Use salt spray, texture spray, and sparkler spray to help hold this soft, relaxed look in place. This style mixes gentle curls with a bit of structure, creating a romantic yet classic updo. It’s beautiful, flexible, and I really love it!

This hairstyle is great for brides who want an updo that looks neat but still soft and natural. It pairs beautifully with an off-shoulder dress for an elegant, glamorous look. You can also add wildflowers to create a lovely bohemian style. This hairstyle suits all hair types—the model has naturally curly and frizzy hair—so it’s very flexible and easy to customize.

    #6: Boho Crown

Interview with style expert, Alexandra Wilson
Hairstylist at Hair Styling By Alexandra Eisemann in East Greenwich, RI

How would you explain this style?

This style is a boho braided crown. I love that it appears complicated, but it’s actually just four simple braids pinned on top of each other. It’s very easy to do!

Do you have any tips for someone thinking about trying it?

This style works great for long hair and is perfect if you want a fast, 10-minute hairstyle.

If you want thicker braids, try using a volumizing powder. I really like Puff Me by Design Me.

    #7: 3D Pull-through Braid

Interview with style expert, Regan Timothy
Stylist and Owner of Beautyy By Regan in Tremonton, UT

How would you explain this style?

This hairstyle features a 3D pull-through braid with added twists and curls. I love the 3D pull-through braid most because it is unique and not something you see every day!

Do you have any tips for someone thinking about it?

This style works well for people with medium to fine hair that holds curls. You can add some hair jewelry or a ribbon to make it look even better.

This style is perfect for someone who is fun, bold, and loves adventure. It works great for events like prom, dances, photo shoots, and fashion shows. It will last all night and help you stand out from the crowd!

    #8: Classy Casual

Interview with style expert Danielle Broughton-Evans
Hairstylist at Danielle Broughton-Evans Hair, located in Crewe, England

How would you explain this style?

This outfit is a perfect mix of classy and casual. I love that you can wear it all day. It looks relaxed for work but still stylish enough for an evening out.

Do you have any tips for someone thinking about it?

This style suits every hair type, but it looks best with textured, multi-toned hair.

If your hair is silky and you want this style, try using Redken Fashion Waves while drying. This will add some texture to your hair.

    #9: Bohemian Rock

Interview with style expert, Olivia Arendt
Stylist and Balayage Specialist at Scotia Salon in Marietta, GA

How would you explain this style?

This style is a mix of bohemian and rock. It looks soft, but the hair rings add a bold touch. What I like most are the braids. They create interesting textures that I really enjoy.

Do you have any tips for someone thinking about it?

Grey blonde hair needs lots of care and time to keep its color looking fresh. Since it fades fast, use a good salon-quality shampoo and conditioner to help it last longer. Adding a braid gives your hairstyle more texture and makes it more interesting.

    #10: Effortlessly Beautiful & Touchable

    Interview with style expert Sarah
Hairstylist and Colorist at Marsha Nadalin Salon & Spa in Honolulu, HI

How would you explain this style?

I really like how these curls look soft and natural. She clearly feels confident and happy. You can imagine her flipping her hair all night while dancing!

Do you have any tips for someone thinking about it?

It’s important to consider the client’s hair texture and how well it holds a curl. This model has long, thick hair that reaches almost to her waist. I curled her hair with a 1 1/4-inch barrel iron and used a working spray. Then, I pinned the curls and let them cool for 45 minutes. After gently loosening the curls, I finished with a light mist of finishing spray. These steps helped the hairstyle stay in place all night.

For another client with natural curls and volume, this style can be done much faster. I believe this look works well for anyone who wants to feel special but still look natural.

    #11: Multi-Braided Updo

    Interview with style expert Tracy
Stylist at Red Cottage Salon & Spa in Long Grove, IL

How would you explain this style?

This style features several braids combined to form a playful updo.

What I love most is the texture it gives my hair, and how it holds all day long. It works really well in hot, humid weather when you want your hair to stay up without falling.

Do you have any tips for someone thinking about it?

This hairstyle is perfect if you want something easy to manage. It stays in place all day and night. The updo uses many braids, so you need thick hair to get the full look. Thin hair may not create the same effect.

Also, her hair color really highlights the details of this style. I applied Monat Styling Taffy close to the roots to smooth flyaways and create a polished look. Then, I used Refinish Monat Hairspray to keep the style in place all day.

    #12: Elegant French Twist Ponytail

Interview with style expert Rachel Lusk
Hair and Makeup Artist at Rachel Lusk Hair & Makeup, Bay Area, CA

How would you explain this style?

I call this style both simple and classy at the same time.

What I love most about this style is its simplicity and flexibility. You can wear it casually when you’re on the go. Or, add some curls and simple accessories to make a lovely look for bridesmaids. To change it up, add volume or texture at the crown for a messy, textured feel. Or, brush it close to your head for a smooth, sleek finish.

Do you have any tips for someone thinking about it?

To add more volume, try blow-drying your hair with a volumizing mousse before you style it. For a smooth and sleek look, straighten your hair and use pomade on the hairline and crown to keep it neat. If you want a fuller ponytail, you can also add some clip-in hair extensions.

    #13: Braided Mohawk

Interview with style expert Sandra Joseph
Pureartist at Pureology and Master Stylist at Dani’s Hairloft in Pittsburgh, PA

How would you explain this style?

This easy and playful braid is perfect for shopping, lunch dates, or even a night out. It’s also a great style for the second day. When you remove the braid, your hair will have lovely waves.

Since the braid layers on top of itself, it creates a taller Mohawk style that stays in place and lasts for several days. Here’s a tip! Twist the ponytail into a bun and use a few pins to hold it for a nice dinner out.

Do you have any tips for someone thinking about it?

This style works best for women with long hair. But if your hair is short, you can add a hairpiece around your ponytail to make it look longer.

This style suits almost all hair textures. It looks best if your hair has few layers. The final braid looks beautiful on any hair color, and highlights make it stand out even more.

To create this hairstyle, use a volumizing mousse to add texture and hold. I suggest Pureology Rootlift since it works well on both wet and dry hair. Spread the product evenly, then blow dry your hair while hanging your head upside down. For more detailed steps on this style, visit my Instagram page!

#14: Dutch + Fishtail Braid into a Messy Bun

Interview with style expert, Rachelle Edrozo
Special Event and Wedding Hair Stylist at Alante Hair Design in El Cajon, CA

How would you explain this style?

This playful updo combines a Dutch braid and a fishtail braid, ending in a loose, low bun. It’s great for outdoor weddings or any event where you want your hair to stay neat all day.

I applied Redken Diamond Oil to add shine and tame flyaways. To set the style, I used Hard Head hairspray by Bed Head. It’s my favorite because it always works well!

Do you have any tips for someone thinking about it?

This style is perfect if you have thick hair or enjoy wearing your hair up. I really like braiding blonde hair, and her highlights look fantastic.

This outfit is perfect for dancing outside under the stars at night!

    #15: Braided Detail

Interview with style expert Twylla Jane
Redken Artist at Lumos Nox inside Sass Studios & Salon Suites, Naperville, IL

How would you explain this style?

This hairstyle features a half updo with extra volume on top, gentle curls, and a side-swept braid for added style.

What I love most about this style is that it looks formal but not too flashy. It fits many events, like a date night, a wedding, or even a black tie party. To make it a bit fancier, you can add a pretty comb or clip above or below the braid.

Do you have any tips for someone thinking about it?

This hairstyle will stay looking great all night, whether you’re going to a casual event or a fun night out. If your hair curls easily, try using Redken Iron Shape 11. It helps keep your curls soft and full of bounce. If your hair tends to lose its curl quickly, use a stronger product like Redken Hot Sets 22. Spray it on small sections, then gently comb through to spread the product evenly. This keeps your hair soft but still under control.

To create the half updo, tease the hair at the crown to add volume, then secure it with bobby pins. If pinned well, this style can last into the next day! The following day, loosely pin your hair and add a headband for a relaxed, stylish boho look.

    #16: Elegant Boho Chic

This style has a boho chic vibe. I️ love how it looks soft, textured, and a bit messy, yet still very elegant. I️ created this look for a fundraiser gala, but it works well for any fancy event. It suits people with a nice jawline who want some added height. The hair can be fine, but it should be thick and at least shoulder-length.

    #17: Eye-Catching Braid

Interview with style expert Holly Smeltzer
Hairstylist and Makeup Artist at Skye Salon & Spa in Grosse Pointe, MI

How would you explain this style, and what do you like most about it?

This style is simple, playful, and grabs attention. I enjoy it because it lets me show my creativity. It also highlights the many shades in the hair, making it look more interesting.

What advice or products would you suggest to achieve this style?

For this style, I use a medium hold hairspray to keep the curls in place. I also add a flexible hold cream to control flyaways and make the curls stand out. Finally, I finish with a shine spray for a glossy look.

Who would you suggest this style is best suited for?

Braids and curls work well for both casual and formal looks. This style suits all hair types and fits any event.

    #18: Sophisticated Half Updo

Interview with style expert Aimee Beam
Licensed Cosmetologist and Owner of Top Knots By Aimee, LLC in Philadelphia, PA

How would you explain this style, and what do you like most about it?

This hairstyle is a stylish half updo with lots of volume on top. It’s a timeless choice for those who love big hair. Whether your hair is long, medium, or short, this look is very chic and suits all hair types.

I like how this style is quick to do and works for many events. The model is a bride on her wedding day, but you can wear this look to a holiday party, bachelorette party, cocktail party, wedding guest, and more!

What advice or products would you suggest to achieve this style?

To create this elegant half-up hairstyle, begin with freshly blow-dried hair. I use my Babyliss Pro Volare V2 Mid-Size Hair Dryer and always apply Oribe Volumista root pump spray before drying. After your hair is fully dry, spray plenty of dry shampoo at the roots. I prefer Oribe Dry Texture Spray for this step. For long-lasting curls, use a 1 1/4-inch curling iron like the Hot Tools Marcel iron. Curl your hair and pin each curl to your head until it cools. Before pinning each curl, spray it with Kenra Volume 25 hairspray.

Remove the curls first. Use a tail comb to divide your hair into three parts: front left (from the top of your head to behind your left ear), front right (from the top of your head to behind your right ear), and leave the back section as it is. To add volume at the crown and shape your half-up style, take a small horizontal section at the top of your head. Backcomb this section and apply Powder Play. Do this four or five more times until you reach the volume you want for your half-up hairstyle.

Use four bobby pins to hold your “poof” at the back of your head. If you want extra volume, lift your hair more with the pick end of your teasing comb. For the front sections, work in horizontal layers. Tease at least three layers on each side of your part near the crown. Then, spray the whole section with Oribe Dry Texture spray. This will help you create the twists more easily.

The model has a side part, but this style also looks great with the trendy middle part. Take one side at a time and twist the hair inward to create a soft, natural twist. Keep the hair loose so it doesn’t sit flat against your head. Gently pull apart each twist with your fingers to add volume on the sides. Then, place each twist over the back part of your half-up style to cover the bobby pins. Look at your hair from the front to make sure both sides look even. Finish with a spray of Kenra Volume 25 to hold everything in place. Now you’re ready to go out and have fun!

Who would you suggest this style for?

This hairstyle works for many occasions! The model in the photo was one of my bridal clients. As a wedding hair specialist, many brides choose this style for their big day. It lets them wear their hair down while keeping it away from their face. Plus, it adds volume that stays full and beautiful all the way through the reception.

This style is perfect for weddings, but it also works great for holiday parties, prom, bachelorette parties, or as a wedding guest. It has been my most requested look over the last three years!

    #19: Faux Bob

Get a fresh hairstyle without cutting your long hair! Style your blonde balayage into a vintage-looking faux bob that reaches your neck. A side part, gentle waves, and pretty hairpins will give you an elegant look.

    #20: Pinned Back Side

Braids and curls make a great pair, and this style shows it well. This simple half-up look works perfectly for medium-length hair. Walk into any room feeling confident. If you have dark blonde locks, this hairstyle will highlight your hair’s beautiful shades.

    #21: Gorgeous Formal Curly Hair

Show off your natural curls and texture with an elegant updo. This beautiful formal curly hair style creates a soft look that pairs well with your dark-rooted blonde hair. Add sparkling hairpins and some face-framing pieces to make it even more special.

    #25: The Perfect Quinceanera Hairstyle

This high bun looks stunning on long, black hair and acts like a beautiful tiara. Soft curls framing your face give you a sweet, romantic look you can show off all day.

Interview with style expert, Alyssa Celeste
Hair Stylist at Celestial Haven Studio in Houston, TX

How would you explain this style?

This hairstyle works well for any event. It looks both classic and modern. You can wear it to a wedding, prom, or a date night. The bangs falling in front add a touch of elegance. The best part is the bun. It is simple but has a unique style. The twist around the base makes it special.

Do you have any tips for someone thinking about it?

You will look amazing and surprise everyone! This style matches any dress. You won’t need to worry about your hair coming loose after dancing all night. On hot or humid days, your hair stays neat and out of your face. If you decide you don’t want the bangs, you can easily pull them back and wrap them around the bun. Use a stronghold hairspray to keep small hairs in place and make the style last.

    #26: The Bun

This style is sleek and smooth. Pull your hair back and add a pretty pearl accessory to make an elegant bun. Gently pull out a few strands to add soft texture. If you have long, straight blonde hair, you can easily create this look.

    #27: Pretty and Short

Create a boho style with this chic look. This soft, low bun is easy to make when you add curls and texture. Light pink highlights and cute accessories on your blonde hair give you a fun, flirty feel.

    #28: The Perfect Wedding Updo

This perfect wedding updo is sure to stand out. It adds texture, making thin, dark copper hair appear thicker. Loose strands and a delicate accessory finish off your glamorous style.

    #29: Sleek and Straight

Elegant hairstyles don’t always need curls or big updos. You can make a stylish half-updo with your straight, smooth hair. Just add a braid and a pretty hair accessory. For extra style, try a smoky ash blonde balayage with dark roots on your long hair.

    #30: Curly Bun

Embrace your natural hair texture and flaunt it with confidence! Style your blonde hair into a low curly bun that highlights your beautiful curls.

    #31: Formal Short Hairstyle

You can totally rock a stylish half-updo with a neck-length lob. To create this elegant short hairstyle, add some curls and a braid that acts like a headband. It’s a great way to show off your shadow-rooted blonde balayage with confidence.

Interview with style expert Ness MacKinlay
Independent Stylist based in Peterborough and Belleville, ON

How would you explain this style?

I wanted a soft, romantic style with a little extra flair. Adding a braid gives any updo a nice touch without making it too flashy.

What I love most about this style is how flexible it is. The loose, boho waves combined with the neat braid make it perfect for a fancy event, a wedding, graduation, or just a regular day.

Do you have any tips for someone thinking about it?

Anyone can get this look, but the steps vary for each person. If you have thick hair, it’s easier because there’s more to style. For fine or thin hair, I use a different method to get the best results.

Kenra texture powder boosts volume at the roots and keeps teasing or backcombing secure. Kenra dry volume burst adds fullness to thin hair. Before curling, use Kenra thermal styling spray. It shields your hair from heat and helps curls stay in place, even on hard-to-curl hair.

If your hair is too thin for braids, try this helpful trick. Make a braid using hair extensions, then add it to your updo. This will make it look like your own hair.

This style suits hair that is longer than chin length. It is perfect for someone with a playful, relaxed personality. If you don’t spend much time on hair or makeup, this look is ideal because it appears natural and easygoing.

    #32: Romantic Pull Back

This is a stylish way to show off your blonde hair with dark roots. The romantic pulled-back updo includes a braid, making your hair look fuller and more glamorous.

Interview with style expert Sylvia Barson
Hair Stylist at Rumors Salon For Hair & Nails in Jackson, MI

How would you explain this style?

This hairstyle is both playful and elegant. I like how brave and eye-catching it looks. Most updos today are loose with soft, messy pieces framing the face. While those are lovely, they can start to feel the same. Trying a unique style like this adds a fresh and exciting twist.

Do you have any tips for someone thinking about it?

Hold your head high—this style is all about showing confidence. A slicked-back look tells others you are fearless and have nothing to hide.

    #33: Half Up Bouffant

Make your long blonde hair stand out with lots of volume. This half-up bouffant looks stunning, especially when matched with soft curls and side-swept bangs.

    #34: Curly Bob with Bangs

This beautiful neck-length curly bob with bangs will catch your eye and hold your attention. It’s full of volume, texture, and bounce. Its shape creates a lively, happy look. Don’t wait—refresh your dark hair with this fun style today!

Interview with style expert Amanda Payne
Hair Stylist at Artistic Edge Salon and Spa in Marriottsville, MD

How would you explain this style?

This style is a stylish, natural-looking bob. I like that it works well with many hair textures. It has soft, low layers inside and a gently angled edge. Unlike a classic bob, it is lighter and has a small break in the crown area. This means your hair doesn’t need to be perfect. That’s what makes this cut look great all the time!

Do you have any tips for someone thinking about it?

If your hair is wavy or curly, I recommend trying this style! I always cut textured hair when it’s dry. At the very least, make sure your stylist cuts your bangs dry if you have curls or waves. This haircut works on many hair types, but it adds extra volume to medium or fine hair. To style it with a messy look, use a cream or salt spray and let your hair air dry. For more volume, gently separate the curls or waves to create lots of movement.

For a neater style, apply a gel casting product. Then, use a diffuser to dry your hair. Finish by adding a little water-soluble pomade. This versatile haircut works well with many different looks.

    #35: Low and Textured

The low, textured hairstyle is very trendy right now. Here’s a stylish way to dress up your blonde hair. Soft twists and gentle waves add movement and texture. A floral hairpiece and loose strands around your face give this look a romantic feel.

    #36: The Curled Pixie

Short haircuts are always stylish, but you can make them even better with some messy waves. This curled pixie cut shows off your bold style. The blonde color with dark roots adds more depth and movement.
